Honestly, I really looooove places like this. It’s amazing. A little oasis of a culture outside of the city. I adore some custom made food and drinks. They have a huge choice of a things you can never try anywhere else. It’s a small town but such a good quality food and stuff they make. Recommend this place!
So fresh, so magical! Always such a variety that reflects many different tastes and dietary needs. Staff were warm and accommodating, very clean and inviting.
We were very impressed by the food. A slim menu with flavorful dishes. The meat was so tender with a good mash potatoes. The fried tofu was excellent as well with a solid mac & cheese that served as a good complement.
High-quality takeout with a great dining area as well. Service is quick and friendly. The paninis are delicious as are the salads. Great soup too. Can't go wrong
This place is always buzzing for a reason. I live in the area over 20 years and only recently began dining in and out here (since 2024) and this place is great! The staff, the setting, the food.......a must go if you haven't yet! I am a regular pickup diner there 2+ times a week.
Went right before the dinner rush, so it was not that busy. The acoustics are great, which is good for a band to play. However my sensitive ears caught all the conversations from the lovely and lively large party in the center. If you are or have someone in your party who is audio-sensitive, I suggest either the barstools or the outdoor patio over the main dining area. The panini was delish and honestly wanted more of the potato salad. The pomergranite limeade was very refreshing. If you need to grab and go, the food is worth it. But it just felt good to savor it. On an impulse, grabbed the chocolate bread pudding to bring home. What a great idea! Pair that with a few fresh strawberries, and it's date worthy. I look forward to my next visit!
After walking at the West Trapps Trailhead we went to the Main Course for a late lunch. When you walk in there is a counter with two order pads. One for salads and one for sandwiches. You check off what you want and hand it in at a counter. We shared the Lentil Veggie Burger and the Chopped Salad. With the Chopped Salad you pick what you want on it from a long list of ingredients and the dressing you desire. I like that you fill out your order and you bus your own table. This should help keep prices down and let the workers deal with the food and not things customers can do. I hope to get back soon and try something different. I’m sure everything would be as delicious as what we ate.
Main Course is amazing! They have a wide variety of delicious dishes from salads to sandwiches to soups. I personally love their build your own salad option, where they do not cheat on portion sizes. They also have great desserts, my personal favorites being the peanut butter cookie and berry crumble. The one downside is that the staff can be a bit rude, but overall I love this place! I definitely recommend.
What a great place! My niece and I stopped into Main Course for dinner at the end of December and it was fantastic. The atmosphere was cozy, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely incredible. I’m already looking forward to visiting again on my next trip to New Paltz.
